Parvo & Illness

The 10 puppies in this photo, along with one of their siblings, were diagnosed with parvo shortly after SDR took them in. With the help of our community, we were able to save most of the pack and find the homes they deserved.

Raising Money

One of our fundraisers with the fire department. We sold stuffed animals and proceeds went to the rescue.

Hungry Dogs

Bird was found abandoned in a shed, left to starve. With the help of SDR donations, Bird weighted 100+ lbs when he found his forever home.

Welcome to SDR

When SDR first opened, we ran the business out of our home. Your donations have not only allowed us to build a facility, but also kennels for each pup!

Broken Bones

Most of our dogs come to us with injuries. Mo (left), Hercules (on the top right), and Molly (on the bottom) all received the treatment they needed to get them back up on all paws.

Medical Needs

Harry Potter (left) and Massimo (right) were brothers and best friends. Harry became paralyzed in his hind legs at a very young age. Sadly, both pups suffered from a genetic kidney disease and passed away before they turned a year old. With the help of rescue donations, we were able to take both Harry and Massi to the vet, learn about their disease, and have their remaining siblings tested.

Harry Potter, who was paralyzed in his hind legs, loved the bath! SDR was able to help Harry thanks to donations.

Helping Hands

With your suport, SDR raised awareness and funds for a sick pup, but also donated several pairs of shoes to those in need.

Sunshine Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

It is our mission to eliminate the unnecessary euthanasia of dogs at the county shelters. We are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding great homes for dogs from high-kill shelters. We also take in dogs who are surrender to us from private citizens. But we can't do it alone. Please consider donating to our rescue.

Money is always appreciated to help with vet care. However, dog food, puppy pads, dog beds, kennels, crates, treats, and toys (like these) are also needed and appreciated to keep our pups happy!
